General How do I get my data back if I delete an app?

Because we genuinely don't store anything off-device, deleting the app deletes the data. There's no cloud copy we can restore for you.

If you want a recovery option, use Apple's iCloud Backup or an encrypted iTunes/Finder backup of your phone. That backup is held in your Apple account and isn't accessible to us. When you reinstall the app on a backed-up phone, your data restores with it.

General Will my data sync between my iPhone and iPad?

Not currently. Sync would require sending data through Apple's CloudKit servers, which conflicts with our on-device-only promise. Each device holds its own independent copy of your data.

We're watching how Apple's privacy-preserving sync options evolve, but we won't add any sync feature that compromises the privacy promise.

General How do I report a bug?

Use the contact form below or email apps-for-hope@outlook.com. The most helpful bug reports include:

  • Which app and version (Settings → About in any of our apps)
  • Your device model and iOS version
  • What you did, what happened, and what you expected to happen
  • A screenshot if you can grab one

Don't worry about getting all of that — anything you send helps.

Yes, please. Real handler and user feedback shapes what gets built next. Send your idea through the contact form or by email and tell us what problem you're trying to solve — that helps us think about the right shape for it.

We can't promise every idea will become a feature, but every one gets read and considered.

Signal & Support Is Signal & Support a diagnostic tool?

No. Signal & Support is a self-guided check-in tool. It helps you notice early signals of overload and reflect on what your nervous system is doing — but it doesn't diagnose anything, predict anything, or replace working with a clinician.

It's designed to support self-knowledge, not to evaluate or score you.

Signal & Support How do I customize the optional question?

The last assessment item is yours to shape. Open Settings → Personalized Question and replace the default with whatever activity matters most to your regulation — caregiving, a creative practice, training with your dog, a movement routine, or something else entirely.

Your custom text stays on your device, like everything else.

Signal & Support How does the support message feature work?

After completing a check-in, the app can generate an optional plain-language message you can share with someone you trust. Sending it always goes through your phone's standard share sheet — Messages, Mail, or any other app you've installed.

You always control whether to send, who you send to, and what to edit before sending. The app never reaches out on its own.

Healthy Pet Tracker How do I restore my Pro purchase?

If you're on a new device, restored your phone, or just don't see Pro features anymore:

  1. Open Healthy Pet Tracker
  2. Go to Settings → Restore Purchases
  3. Sign in to the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase

Apple handles the verification — we never see your purchase history. If restore doesn't work, double-check that you're signed into the right Apple ID, then write to us if it still won't restore.

Healthy Pet Tracker Why don't I see my pet's photo after upgrading to Pro?

Pro unlocks the custom photo feature, but you'll need to add the photo manually. Tap your pet's profile, then the photo placeholder, then choose Photo Library or Camera.

The photo stays on your device — it's stored as a file path in the app, not uploaded anywhere.

Healthy Pet Tracker Can I track more than one pet?

Not yet — current versions support a single pet profile. Multi-pet support is on the roadmap and will come in a future update. If you have multiple pets and want to follow that update, the best place to hear about it is @HopeTheServiceDoodle on Instagram.

Healthy Pet Tracker How do I export my pet's weight history?

From your pet's profile, tap the Export button. The app will create a file you can save to Files, share with your vet by email, or send through any app on your phone.

The export uses your phone's share sheet, so the destination is entirely your choice — nothing routes through us.

Train Today When is Train Today launching?

Train Today is in active Phase 1 development. We don't have a fixed launch date — we'd rather ship something that genuinely works than rush it. Follow @HopeTheServiceDoodle for behind-the-scenes development updates and the launch announcement.

Train Today Will Train Today work for any service dog team?

That's the goal. The app supports all four service dog training categories — Basic Obedience, Public Access, Task Training, and Relationship/Play — with fully customizable skill libraries and importance ratings. Owner-trained, program dog, in-training, or fully working — the app shapes around your team.

It is not a replacement for working with a professional trainer or any kind of certification tool. It's a planning companion that takes the cognitive load off deciding what to work on each day.

Train Today Can my trainer share a curriculum with me through the app?

That's coming in Phase 2. Your trainer will be able to generate a shareable curriculum link containing skill names, categories, and starting status levels. You import the link once, the data lives on your device, and your trainer never needs an account.

For Phase 1 launch, you'll set up your skill inventory yourself during onboarding.
